Where it began
My name is Thalia, and I have been dancing since I was five. I have been teaching for over seven years now, and dance has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember.
Qualifications
- Teaching
- I am a fully qualified dance teacher through the Acrobatic Federation of South Africa, where I received my teaching qualification in 2021. I hold the Advanced Teachers qualification, with all my exams completed.
- Judging
- I have also completed a judging course through AFSA, and have had the privilege of judging at various festivals, competitions and auditions.
- Competing
- One of the highlights of my own competitive dance career was competing at National level in Acrobatics and achieving first place.
- Training
- Over the years I have trained in Acrobatics, Contemporary, Lyrical and Modern dance, which has given me a deep appreciation for both technical excellence and expressive movement.
What matters most to me as a teacher is helping each dancer find their own strengths, and their own love of dance. Dance has given me a great deal, in the studio and well beyond it, and it means a lot to be able to pass that on.
Blissful Dance & Choreography is meant to be a safe and welcoming place, whatever your age, where you can build your confidence and enjoy expressing yourself through dance.
