Meet Thalia
The heart behind Blissful Dance.
Thalia has been dancing since the age of five, and her love for movement has shaped both her life and her approach to teaching. Through Blissful Dance & Choreography, she creates a space where dancers can grow in confidence, develop strong technique and experience the joy that comes from expressing themselves through movement.
Her teaching combines discipline, encouragement and individual attention, helping every dancer feel supported while working towards their own goals.
What we teach
The dancer’s journey.
AcroTots introduces our youngest dancers to movement through play, without the pressure of formal training. With games, music and creative activities, little ones build balance, coordination and strength while growing in body awareness and confidence. It is also where acrobatics begins, a gentle first foundation for the years ahead.
The class nurtures more than physical skill. It supports concentration, self-expression and social confidence, all in a warm and encouraging space.
Contemporary dance draws on ballet, jazz and modern technique, but trades their strictness for freedom, improvisation and feeling. Lessons often move through floor work and a range of music, and dancers learn to tell a story through the way they move.
Lyrical shares those roots, with a softer, more flowing quality. Here the focus is the meaning behind a song, the emotion in the words rather than the beat.
At Blissful Dance & Choreography, the two are taught together as one class. Learning them side by side gives dancers a broader, more expressive grounding than either would alone.
Acrobatics builds technique, strength and flexibility, and it gives dancers a foundation that carries into every other style. As they learn to control their movement, they grow in confidence and in how well they understand their own bodies.
There is always something new to work towards, from a first trick to strength a dancer never knew they had. The aim is steady, encouraging progress at every level.
At Blissful Dance & Choreography, we believe dance belongs to everyone. Come as a complete beginner, or come back to something you loved years ago. Either way, these classes are for you.
Across the term we work through a range of styles and choreography, building strength and flexibility, finding new ways to move and getting to know the people dancing beside you. If you are here to laugh, to grow and to feel the joy of moving, you belong here.
Private lessons are one-to-one time with a coach, focused entirely on the dancer. They are the space to sharpen technique, work on a particular skill or rehearse a routine, all at the dancer's own pace.
They suit anyone preparing for a competition or performance, as well as dancers who simply progress best with a coach's full attention.
In a choreography session, a coach creates an original routine around a dancer or group, in whatever style suits them best. Each piece is shaped to the dancers’ level, ability and strengths, whether it is a solo, a duet, a trio or a full group.
These pieces are made for the stage, for competitions, festivals and school performances, and the moment of bringing all that work to life in front of an audience.

- Safety awareness, by following instructions and telling coaches about any injuries or concerns.
Yes. Dancers learn how to warm up and stretch safely in class, but one lesson a week is often not enough for consistent improvement. Practising at home reinforces what is taught, builds strength and flexibility, and supports steady progress. Even a small amount of regular practice makes a big difference.
All of them, from complete beginners to advanced dancers.
